Fire Fighter Equipment

There is a seemingly endless list of fire fighter equipment that is available. Since firefighters have such a dangerous job, people are always striving to provide more ways to rescue people and save buildings while keeping the firemen safer. More equipment comes out each year as technological advances are made.

A lot of advances in fire fighting equipment come from the firefighters themselves. A great example of this is the firefighter who came up with a new fire extinguishing formula after noticing that disposable diapers could come through a house fire with very little damage. Since firefighters are the ones who are in the thick of the danger and action, they are often the first ones to see where improvements could be made.

Some of the most impressive improvements that are made are related to fire fighter equipment such as their breathing apparatuses. But any improvement to their equipment is important, whether it be clothing, flashlights, or their tools. Hopefully someday people won’t have to risk their lives while fighting fires, but until then new equipment will always be coming out.
