Fire Extinguisher
It is recommended that every house have at lease one fire extinguisher. It’s even better to have one in the kitchen, one in the garage, and one in the workshop if you have one. Basically you should have an extinguisher anywhere that there are flammable chemicals and heat sources.
There are different types of extinguishers, and you need to make sure that you have the right fire extinguisher for the type of fire that is most likely to break out in a certain area. Before you buy any extinguishers, look at what their classification is and what kind of fires they can be used on. If you use the wrong type, the results could be disastrous.
For example, a Class A fire extinguisher is compressed water. This is good for fires that are burning wood, paper, and most plastics. But you do not want to use a Class A extinguisher on grease fires or electrical fires. It could actually cause the fire to spread. So do some research and figure out which extinguisher is the right one for the setting.
